I know this may have been asked a bunch of times... I want to get some 19in wheels, but want to make sure the ones I am getting will fit. I have a 2003 C230K sedan. I would like to get the TSW Bremmas in 19x9.5 rear and 19x8.5 front. The offset on these wheels are ET35 front and rear. Will these rims fit without any rubbing? I would also like to lower the car with a set of Eibach sport springs and Bilstein stocks. I also plan to use 235/35/19 tires up front and 255/35/19 in the rear. Any advise would help, thanks in advance.
I originally got 265/35/19 rear and 235/35/19 front and had some rubbing instances over bumps (the car is not lowered and i dont intend to lower it).
I took the car back to the shop today. He couldn’t find the place where it was rubbing as there were "no marks on the tire’s" (apparently, that’s the way to find out if its rubbing) he put: 245/35/19 rear 235/35/19 front to see if it helps.
1. Is this the correct spec?
2. I dont know the offset on the wheels, how do i find that out?
3. He also mentioned that some sorta alignment (not the standard wheel alignment which is done if the car lean's to one side on a straight road - this has been done) need's to be done if its still rubbing - apparently you get that if you have hit the kerb while parking or something!?!? - is this tru of some sorta sales BS.
As you can tell, I am total newbie when it comes to this stuff so any help would be greatly appreciated.
