Hello all,

I have a 2003 c320 and I am trying to install 225/45/17 tires on it to fit some amg rims on the car. Any suggestions on if this is a good idea? I do not really know much about switching tires out, does this mean I have to lower the car or change anything else? Any advice is appreciated, and yes I have tried the search function on here but the results were confusing.

THanks ,

Mike

A 2003 C320 sport sedan already has 17" wheels with 225/45x17 tires. A 2004.5 or newer has 245/40x17 in the rear and 235/45x17 front but is about 1" lower but it doesn't matter, either tires will fit and look fine but will look better if lowered about an inch. Eibach and H&R make the two most popular spring kits and they are cheap. I had the Eibach's with installation for $330 in L.A.
