BAS/ESP light in on when I push the brake pedal

Hello I have a problem with my Mercedes C200. When the engine is started the BAS/ESP light is off but when I push the brake pedal for the first time the light turns on and stays on until the engine is switched off.
When I switch on again and push the brake the light turns on again.

On advice I replaced the Brake pedal switch, but that did not help.

Does anyone know what causes this problem, and knows a solution?

Thanks in advance!
Best regards,

Cees
