A & B service cost - 2006 C230 - ???

I'm new to the MB world, having just purchased a new 2006 C230. I like the looks and handling of the car, except that it is "alignment challenged" right now.

I'm wondering what the regular service (every 13K miles) generally run in terms of costs. I used to do a fair amount of maintenance myself, but as cars have become more complicated, I do less. Mostly brakes and fluids/filters, now.

I have the 100K/6 year warranty, so it is just the regular stuff. So, I'm wondering what are the typical costs and how many folks do their own servicing, or get a 'local' garage to do it? What are the warranty concerns?

You didn't specify a city but back in the O.C., we pay about $199 for A and $299 for B. Of course that's just the A/B, there's other maintenance that's more of on a time schedule like changing fluids (brake, trans, diff, etc) and air filter, wipers, etc that are not part A/B. Then there's wear items like brakes/tires that depend on how much you used them. Lucky for me I get 4 years free maintenance and may not buy another car without that feature. Too bad for MB for getting rid of it.

I would check your dealership's website under the "Service" section--they might have some specials going on. Here in Richmond, the 2 Merc stealerships will honor the service coupons/prices of any other Benz dealership in the country (the ONE good thing they have going for them). So I just get to Google'ing and see who has the cheapest rates at the time~~~

My last Service A only costed me $149 :-D
My parents got their Service B for $$199

Of course they gave us some resistance on honoring the competitor's prices, but what's fair is fair---don't advertise something you don't wanna stand behind!
