Rear Door!

I noticed the other day that for no reason my rear passanger side door would not open from the outside, and that the door pin was out os the hole. The pin is no completely removed, and the door opens only from the inside. Is this something I can fix myself by takin the door apart, or should I take it to the shop? Thanks.

RE: Rear Door!

so from what i gather in your write up...the door lock pin is missing and the door will not open...

sounds like some one unscrewed the pin or it fell off...

grab a long thin screw driver
a hooked screw driver
relocate the pin
and operate the remote lock until you can find the threaded rod lock in the door - move it into position for the hole - unlock the remote - moving pin up into hole, re thread the pin...

good luck
Jake

RE: Rear Door!

what i'd do is to remove the panel for that door and investigate. i think its the easiest way to renew it. the pin just got loose on the connecting rod inside.
