Exhaust question/How to add more "growl"

I have a 06 C 230 and a 04 SL 500. I like the sound of the SL, and obviously cannot get it on a C 230, but want to make it a little bit more agressive/loud. I dont really want to do a whole exhaust, but I dont think that I have an option. Any ideas? What are the best Exhausts (performance and deep sound)? thanks

removing the resonator will get you a deeper growl. It'll improve a little throttle response, but ppl say it'll lose a little low end torque. On the C32 or C55 removing the resonator showed no signs of losing low end torque however, not sure if it would be the same case for the lower displacment of the 230's 2.5 V6.

If you want to get a different exhaust to make the noise there are the Remus, Eisemenn, Brabus, or Carlsson exhaust which all should yield quite more growl then stock sport exhaust.

personally during the one week I had the 2006 C230 loaner I thought the exhaust was quiet from inside the car, but on the outside when the car's floored it sounded pretty good.

i'm sure you'll love the sound. don't forget exhaust gets louder broken in.

btw, I had soo much fun with the 06 C230 loaner...it had about 2800 miles.[8D][:D]
