Hey there. Anyone know the procedure to remove the grilles protecting the speaker? I was thinking of buying some of that "Quiet Coat" stuff and when I was testing my COMAND's interface with the sound system, I stood outside and I could hear the speaker's back hitting the inside of the door (yeah. it was that loud).
I also managed to shake my subwoofer loose, and the clips that hold it in are inaccessable. I've tried pushing and pulling from all directions but of no avail...
You might want to post what kinda car you are asking about, but I think (at least for my C32) that you have to remove the entire interior door panel to get to the speakers.
Well i know that for the doors, you have to remove the entire door panal. For the sub on the deck, i know you can take off the grill, but that wont help much. you still cant access anywires or screws. I *think you have to remove the whole rear deck, and im not sure how to do it yet. My guess is to remove pillars on either side first then maybe the seat back and you would be able to see whats holding it from there. If you have a sunshade like me im sure it complicates it even more. If you do decide to take it apart post the info and pics how you did it please.
