Buying (maybe) a pre-owned 98 C43 AMG..please advise.. - Benzworld.org

Hello all, I'm new to the board. I'm looking at a 98 C43 AMG tommorow with around 54k miles on it. Is there anything specific to these cars I should look for? Any known problem areas, etc? What is a reasonable price for the vehicle? Xenon lamps, phone, fully loaded. Silver on black, owner says it is flawless. What type of maint. costs will I be looking at in the future? Any big maint. coming up? Thanks so much in advance...

i'm picking up my 98 c43 tomorrow as well. i'm not sure of any issues that this model may have but i can tell you the price i got - 39k with all options (no phone) for $32k.

Just got mine yeterday. A 99 and it is a definite improvent as it was replacing my 99 m3 as a daily driver. Super impressive vehicle. You will not be dissapointed. Rog

I just bought a '98 C43 today from a M-B dealer. The car is clean with no visible defects. Carfax report checked out perfect too. I paid $27,500. All the best, - Keith
