mine does that too and im at 112k but mine shorts out the turn signals too as well as the washer mode and the first speed of the wipe. but its not always like that i think a connection is loose it comes and goes. id like to figure it out too.
mine will over shoot and start coming back up half way during its rest cycle.. Sometimes it will stop at the top and then stop working.. other times the wiper in the intermittent speed will just start going full speed. Something is preventing it from coming back to rest at the bottom of the window.. If I set it to max speed and then click it off as it swings back down I can usually get it to stop.. but sometimes it just goes and goes and i cant turn it off.. its unpredictable.. but living in Oregon - I need that thing to work right. I'm going to lubricate the wiper arm internals as per this 202 tech post but if you guys have any other ideas - i'm all ears.
The connectors inside the wiper motor did not make good contact. So I clean everything, lube the gear then I applied a thin coat of Permatex Dielectric Grease on the contact.
Thanks for the info, mine also do this from time to time.
This is why forums are great.
