I have a 99 c43, and the car drove perfectly fine until about 4 months ago. I parked the car before that for 3 months. Then it wouldnt start any more. After a few days it started again, and drove perfectly fine again for 3 months. I went back out of town for 1 month, and now its not starting again after being parked. Any idea what could cause this, and what should I do to get it back running??
altho i admit the mb battery on our c36 is very very stout when it comes to long breaks between running the car, and i have almost 2+ months between engine starts, 3 months is still rather long. some batteries are just better at deep cycles. some batteries just don't like to be drained that often, and start to lose their capacity as u drain them completely multiple times
how did u get it to start the first time? is the alternater starting go bad? if it is, it wouldn't be able to charge ur car (mine gave 1 block away, had to ask the volvo dealer whom i knew well to help me push the car over to the mb dealer).
another thing u might want to consider is to unplug the battery b4 u leave town.. really simple to do.
