Let me start with an introduction. This is my first post since I am about to purchase a c43 from my good friend. The car is a 1998 with 65K on it. It's been serviced at Ray Catina MB deler ship since day one. My friend owns the car for almost 4 years and never had any problems. He is selling me the car for $14,000. He just had the car serviced a month ago so that will save me some money. Do you guys think I should buy this car as a daily driver. Right now I have a BMW 328is and have no problems with it but I always wanted to own a c43. Should I pay extra attention to any thing before purchasing it? Thanks in advance for your input guys.
Change the tranny oil every 25K whatever the Germans tell you. Nothing else falls off the car except for minor trouble with the air seats. Great cars, they LOVE to be driven hard. Tire wear is also very good and very even, showing a very intelligent suspension design. The Japanese should learn a bit there, especially the Nissan "Z" engineers...
Don't buy a black one, the AC won't be enough to keep you from suffocating in summer.
Germans (dealer) tells you to change it @100k miles not 25k miles. I am getting mine flushed on the 2nd, they asked my mileage, after i told them 76k miles, they said I did not need one. I insisted on getting one. Charge: around $300.
