it's the SRS(Supplemental Restraint System) Malfunction Indicator Light(MIL). go to someone that can read the fault codes for you. that's the best thing you could do.
yeah my light comes on when I start the car and maybe after a minute or minute and a half it goes away. It's difinately something with the seatbelts, airbags etc indicator. It might be the sensors failing. I wouldnt consider that indicator just a big deal on the air bags, but just take it to get a full diag at a local benz specialist.
Will do, I guess the foreign car tech guys charge $60 here.....

As said previously ,this is the secondary restraint system (airbags;seatbelt pretensioners)warning light.
If it goes out after 2minutes there is a non critical fault and the system will still be operative but codes should be read and the system cleared at the earliest opportunity.
If the light remains on after 2minutes the system may be inopperative and should be repaired urgently.
Mine has been on all the time since I bought the car.... Am I in great danger?
