RE: hks intake for c36?

I have read in auto magazines Like Europeancar and Eurotuner That those kits suck hot air from the inside of your hood and the dont make any more HP sometimes they even loose HP s due to the high temp inside the engine compartment.
Altough they sure sound nice

On the other side there are some called cold air intakes that route the air from below the bumper where the cold air is, but they are not safe because of the probability of sucking water into the engine.
when raining

cold air can be induced from the grill area as well... as long as you make sure it provides for air induction from the outside of the car instead of from the engine bay.

RE: hks intake for c36?

Has anyone actual experience of fitting this mod and what the benfit is?

I have a K&N induction kit on my Pug 306 and it sounds great. I doubt it is any more powerful but it sounds faster :D

I have a c36 and am anxious that it may detract from the quality car feel if I fitted one.

Your experience please...

I'm wary of what they might do to the airflow sensor

i have... excellent. no drawbacks. better induction, better sound, feel hp in buttdyno, and supposed better gas mileage. it will only add to the quality feel. it was on my c36 and my c43.
