Hi, everyone! Let me pick your brain a little bit...
Both the front and rear fog lights are working fine in my 94 C280, but the orange indicator on the switch itself is not coming on. Does anyone know how to replace the bulb inside the switch? I noticed in my Haynes manual wiring diagram that there is such a bulb in there, but how does one get to it? Also, does anyone know what type and size this bugger is?
At some point I would like to modify the rear fog light assembly to allow both the left AND the right side lights to increase in brightness, like the left side does right now. I live in the South, where fog is an almost daily road hazard, and would like to add to my car's visibility for safety...

Are you saying you want to make a right foglight assembly too? That would defeat the purpose of having a foglight because it would make it look like you were stepping on the brakes and could cause confussion for drivers behind you. If you did really want to increase the foglight assembly, just do the left one.
What I had in mind would cause both the lt and rt rear parking lights
increase in intensity in a continuous manner as long as I had the switch pulled to the 2nd notch... I am not sure I follow what you mean by causing confusion to drivers behind me, since the brake lights would still work normally, and both the rear parking lights would just be brighter.
What do you think?
BTW, about the light switch light bulb (inside the switch): Someone told me the switch knob will either pull out directly, or it can be released by pushing in a small latch through a hole at the bottom of the switch knob...

I was talking about the intensity of the parking lights.... if the parking lights were too bright, then they would out power the brake lights, unless you plan to increase those too. [:)]
None the less keep us posted on your project!
