Radio Code

I have a 1995 c220 with the factory unit, my battery died I was left with the infamous code entry on the radio, I must have pressed the wrong button because it now says "WAIT" on the display, I do have the correct code but it's not allowing me to enter it because of this "WAIT" display, do you know how I can reset it? It's aggrivating becauise I do have the correct code, and I'm not taking it to the stealer, if I can do it myself unless I need to, you know??

thanks

Read the RADIO manual. If the wrong code or the right code is not entered correctly, the WAIT message appears. I think you have to wait at least 10 minutes before you can re attempt again. I can't remember what the procedure is (I think you have to leave the ignition ON) so that's why I'm telling you to refer to the RADIO manual. It's explained there.
If you can't find the instructions, let me know and I'll look it up in my manual.
Another suggestion is to call either the dealer or MB USA and they should explain what to do.
Good luck!

actually, since you have your codes... really all you need to do is wait until that period clears. The length of the wait period varies. I read somewhere in this forum that the "wait" period increases with each incorrect code entry.
The ignition must stay on in order for the "wait" period to expire... then you will once again be prompted for the "code".
