Surely someone must've figured out how to hook up a star-tac or other cell phone through the stock radio without paying these theives $1600.00.
If you'd care to share this information in this fourm, it'd be appreciated.
Sincerely
Wanker
Dear Wanker
I have a 2000 230K and I've been looking for the same thing.
It appears that no-one out there has an aftermarket system that uses the Mercedes radio, or maybe that if someone has figured it out, then they aren't selling it.
If you find one, let me know.
Ricky

I went to Bell atlantic and purchased a hands free kit that mounts in the car and uses an external antenna. It also has an external speaker that you place somewhere in the car and an external mic you place near the visors.
I must say for 185.00 it works excellent. No matter where i am i get 2 additional signal bars of antenna when it is hooked in the car. The sound is very good also.
Hope this helps.
I have a 97-c280

Can you elaborate on that?
When you talk about software, where is the software? Is the software in the phone itself, or in some rom in an interface, or what?
Also, do you know what the model of the phone Mercedes supplies with the 2000 model? Is it a T8167? Can it handle PCS? Is it different than the standard T8167?
Thanks.
Wanker
