A long time ago I posted a question about the different UCA part numbers, one for sport and one for standard, and what their difference was. Today I accidentally stumbled upon the answer on a now defunct forum, and I thought I would share the knowledge.
Physically, both upper control arms are identical, they only differed in the bushing. The sport UCA use to have a stiffer bushing than the standard, however, since these parts are no longer in such high demand, aftermarkets and the OEMs have stopped producing the STANDARD bushing since quite a while. So basically, now all the UCAs are sport versions. This makes sense because low-demand parts are only produced in their top-line spec.
There wasn't a huge difference in the bushings to begin with, the sport bushings were not much stiffer, they just had more rubber, so they could withstand the abuse of hard driving more.
So there you go
