My car was previously backed into but the only things that got hit was the hood is slightly bent and head lights witch they still work. We left the car out one night when it was raining with out covering up the front and the next time we go out to use it the next week the the blinkers and windshield wiper would not work. As well as back defroster and inside door lock on the center console plus horn. As wheal as when you arm the alarm the flasher wont flash.

Ok to get started with the problem at hand I will first have to tell you that I have searched around before trying to post and I have not found anything close to what matches my vehicle. I have A C-Class C230 1997 Or that is what the paper work for the car says on the title and cheeked that it matches the vin on the car as well. Am just not able to match it up with parts that are actually in the car. Every thing am finding that should be in the 97 is not there, like the fuse box on the driver side matches a 98 or 99 year models fuse box. so am unable to locate the combination fuse location. Ive checked all fuses in the trunk and on the driver side door. none under the passenger side area yet.

Hi JLI, I not near the car at the moment but in the rear compartment of the fuse box you will see a long black plastic box. This is a combination relay unit. You have to pull frikken hard to pull it up and out. I opened it up and reflowed all the solder joints. Indicator and wiper problems were resolved. Don't forget to check the fuses first :)

Could you be more clear what black box your referring to. I've removed the screws and got back there all I see is 4 box style fuses. none of them Are A long black box by any means. So is it under something. Am pretty sure that I mentioned not having the combination relay in the right area. Am I missing something here.
