Vacuum Fuel Tank

Hello,

I have a lot of vacuum when I open the fuel cap. I know there is normaly an overpressure but in this case there is a very high vacuum, also a dent in the fueltank an dissapeares when i open the fuel cap.

A strange thing is that I discovered a lot of small pieces of plastic (grains) in the fuel filter when i changed it. I really dont know where they come from. And whats the name of the sparepart (see attachement).

Someone a solution for this problem?

These cars always run with a vacuum on the tank, just not a lot of vacuum. Certainly not enough to collapse the tank.

When the car is shut off, the system is closed and there is a slight pressure buildup, and the fumes are supposedly absorbed by the charcoal cannister.

There is an electrical valve that switches the system, and it's probably this valve that is not working.

I never had to fix it, and I can't tell you where it is. Maybe someone else can.

There is a electronic

Thanks,

As a temporary solution I dont turn the fuel cap to close it, so the system can bleed.

Hope someone knows the problem and the solution.

No CEL?

The purge solenoid is right next to the brake hydraulic pump.
