The inside rear view mirror rattles around a bit. It generally stays where I put it, but sometimes can jiggle while driving. Is there anything I can do to tighten it up?
Im sure its a safety feature that the mirror will break away in an accident..however the delicate plastic pieces will eventually give way on their own..I have seen kits to repair the mirror internals....however..i simply took some JB Weld and glued the mirror to the plastic base plates inside after fiddling with the housing to make sure i had it in position correctly..a year later and its holding fine with no more jiggle..in an accident it may take a couple pounds more force to break away now..Jeff
If you hit that mirror in a collision you got more things to worry about then if it breaks away or not.
