[/FONT]Is there a Mercedes brand radio that has bluetooth that will fit in my car? I desperately want a good bluetooth, but don't want to go with an aftermarket radio. I'm brand new to this forum, but can't wait to get into it. I don't know how much info to give. I have a 1999 C230 Kompressor. Thanks so much. Linda
Does your car have a microphone built into the base of the rear view mirror?
Does your radio have a telephone keypad and a TELE button?
Do you have a CD changer?
Is there a speaker built into your passenger footwell panel?
In the trunk, under the removable trunk carpet, behind the rear seat, there is a panel with three large plastic screws. When you take off the screws, do you see an old-type analog cell phone, like an old bag-phone, says Motorola on it?
If we can determine what type of equipment is in your car, we can get you started on a solution. There will be three good choices for you.
Argos Bluetooth module
Becker Stereo
Other stereo with wiring adapters

Well, I guess I'm outta luck. I know I don't have a radio with a telephone keypad, and my mirror doesn't have a mic and there is not a speaker under the dash and there is no CD changer, only a player. I didn't take the three screws out, but would there be just that there if none of the other stuff is present? What's next? Thanks
Not quite sure why you are adverse to putting in an aftermarket radio. Technology is much more advanced than the radios of 13 years ago. Just an example, Amazon has a Blaupunkt Toronto 420 BT head unit for 150 with bluetooth and USB memory support. Plenty of good units out there that aren't all that funky looking and sound great, even through the existing speakers.
The JVC KD-X80BT matches our interiors nearly perfect. It's Bluetooth, USB, iPod, etc and is less than $200. Search my posts. There's pictures of mine in early June 2012.
I'm not really adverse to aftermarket, just ignorant. What I really want is a unit that looks good, has bluetooth, a CD player (not changer), AM, FM, Satellite radio capability and USB. Any suggestions?

Use this link to do a search for the unit your looking for....

I put an Alpine in my car, ran about 150 from Amazon. If I had to do it over, I would probably go a bit higher in the line or with a different brand. This one seems to be limited to the number of folders it can scan off a USB drive which is my main source of music in the car.
If your not adverse to aftermarket, the sky is the limit. I dream of a pop out DVD player and hooking my iPhone up to it so my wife can watch movies from Netflix. But that would block the ac dials.
Becker is a plug and play option that can get you perfect matching lighting and color, but they are expensive.
For stereo newbies, Crutchfield offers a great shopping experience. They will include all the wiring adapters you need, and give you instructions for free. Plug and play and ANYBODY can do it!
You will need two little "DIN radio removal tools", they are little keys that fit in slots at the bottom corners of the radio. You insert them and they release the radio, so you just slide it out. Crutchfield will have them.
Hey, thanks for all the input. I know a little more than I did. Anyone familiar with Pioneer products? Are they any good? There is a dealer here locally. I like the looks of the Blaupunkt unit. I'm pretty handy. Do you think I can install? Another question. Are the bluetooth units totally hands free? I mean, I don't have to push a button to answer the phone? Or are there settings for that?
