I've spent plenty of time trying to figure out the oil capacity for my 1998 c280 but can not seem to find it. Please let me know the correct amount.

Not sure about it's "FULL" capacity. But when I get an oil change at my Indie Benz Mechanic he puts 6.5 quarts

Jbighouse, you have the V6. That takes 8 litres. Since it is always easier to add a little than take a little out, you might want to put 7.5 litres in with an oil change, run the motor and then top up as required after giving the car a few minutes for all the oil to drain down.

Dwijesh, you have the inline 6 - completely different engine. The correct amount is 6.5 litres for that engine.
