hey does anyone know how to remove the wood trim around the shifter? ive tried for about an hour and still cant remove it. also what home depot material would we need to repaint it with a clear coat cause the clear coat is scratched, thanks

That's a toughy I will admit.
It's snapped into place. Once it's in place, it's a dickens removing it.
If you do; you probably will end up breaking the plastic tabs that hold it in
place.
To refinish it is easy. No different than you would with regular wood.
Formbys has an excellent website on how to refinish.
Heck, they even have Spray Lacquer and Spray Polyurethane

just wondering why are you so keen on going to home depot? you can find out how to remove the trim on club202.com. i know youll have to remove the shifter trim and the coin pocket before youll be able to remove it. and be gentle ive heard it breaks easy
