This is kind of freaking me out. Every morning (or after the car sits for at least 2 hrs) when I start driving the car this happens.
1. Depress brake pedal and shift in Reverse (coming out of the driveway)
2. The second time I press the brakes, there is a "CLANG" (read metallic noise) coming from what seems is the front brakes
3. Depress brake pedal and Shift into Drive. Start moving forward
4. Next time I press the brakes "CLANG" there is the noise again.
The noise will happen only once in each direction, reverse and drive, or the otherway around if I start up on Drive and then switch to reverse.
Recent work on the car includes
Front Rotors (Brembo replacements)
Front brake pads (Akebone Euroceramic)
Bilstein HD shocks all around
Swaybar Bushings
My mechanic said it cannot be the brakes as they work after with no problem, I have not had the chance to leave the car there so he can test it.
