Hi everyone!
New here, and I did a search on this topic, but my problem is a bit different.
I have a 94 C280 with auto a/c. A few weeks back when it was cold, the ACC would not gradually add temperature, it would only heat on "Hi", but not ie. 68°F. But now the problem is worse. I start the car, the ACC ia always on Auto and Low, then when I drive the red led on the Auto button goes crazy and so does the Low on the display and all of a sudden the blower turns on at fastest speed, sometimes for 2 seconds, sometimes 10 and then shuts itself off. This is reapeated 10 - 15 times during a 30 minute drive. I can instantly stop it by pressing "0", but a while later it's back to Auto and Low.
I noticed some noises from under the glove compartment, it seems to be trying to control the flaps, but something's wrong. I have partially solved all this by removing all A/C and blower fuses, though even after removing them, the ACC is still on, and thank god the blower stoped blowing.
I heard that there's some kind of ACC control unit thing in in the motor compartment, but I have no idea where to look. Maybe I should start by checking the mechanisms under the glove compartment?
News - I went for a longer drive so I put the fuses back and somehow after an hour drive the ACC set itself to 76°F, Fan1,+ feet and now whenever I want to change that setting it goes back to it after a while.
I also noticed a relay clicking somewhere under the glove compartment and when it starts clicking, the above stated setting starts blinking.
Maybe a poltergeist?
Edit: Oops, could a mod please move the topic to the regular W202 thread?

Anyone have any ideas or links to something I should read and try?
Now I mostly just hear the relay somwhere under the dash and whenever I hear it, the red LEDs go crazy on the ACC.
