I went to MB and had a diagnostic ran as my CEI had came on, over 20 codes popped up! Most were from the overhead control panel, Electronic ignition switch ELCODE and the from the door control modules and seemed to be from undervoltage or overvoltage, im not sure but i dont think those will be reoccurring, maybe caused by dying battery?(replaced about a month ago, stone dead). Im not too worried about those.
In the electronic transmission control system the wheels' speed of the traction system is sporadically implausible. Whatever that means? Another one of the codes in this system #148, says the torque converter lock-up clutch causes a sporadic impermissable closing. Again dont know what that means.
The one code that the shop manager told me he would expect to set off the cei again was the p0170-023, "self adaption of mixture formation ME-SFI control module (N3/10)'idle speed' for right bank of cylinders at limit value". Again lol dont know what this means but he thinks this may be the one that will reoccur. He says when my light comes back on to bring it back for a rediagnosis to see what is reoccuring.
Getting a little long winded here but one last question. Can someone tell me what the CAN communication is? As in the ASR system which i think may be a bit buggy as my ASR/BAS light occasionally comes on while driving and the (!) no longer will pop up. There was a code that popped up with this fault in CAN communication with control unit N3/10 (ME-SFI[ME] control unit).
I tried posting the actual documents on here but dont know how to size down the pages to 800 x 800.
Sorry about the unload but any help is really appreciated.
You know when you get that many codes popping up I always try the quick fixes first. TEST all your fuses in both panels. Check all your Grounds wires too.
This might not work but sometimes with that many codes some electrical sounds off. If not post the results of the fix when you get it done I'm curious.
