amp and 10" installed
Well today I installed a 1000 watt amp and 2 10" subs in my C230. I got lucky because the power switch wire to my Alpine CD changer worked on the amp too. I removed the old stock subs and wired everything in. The 10" subs are mounted in a sub box. I still have plenty of trunk space. What a difference. Even the 4 door speakers sound good now because the sterio is using less power. The only problem now is sometimes tha CD changer skips because of certain bass frequencies. Any idea what I can do to isolate the CD changer so it won't skip?

you could try wrapping it or enveloping it in a foam of some sort, similar to the vacuum or aircontrol unit in the rear right quarter behind the carpet, but id say the sub vibrations are travelling to the mechanism of the cd player.. btw, is ur sub rated at 1kW RMS or peak, and what rating are the subs, and brand names, thx..
