SRS light random on and off? - Benzworld.org

My srs light comes on and goes of randomly. It may be on for days or off for days then at random comes on or goes off

Has anyone else had this problem or know of a possible cure.

Either the sensor has gone bad or the SRS not functioning right? My brother's C280 SRS light comes on for about 3 mins everytime he starts while my C220 doesn't. He asked the shop to check that out, and they said everything was fine. You can go check it out though.

I have similar problem, sometimes it's on and sometimes it's okay. I hope I can find the solution soon, I'll check the sensor.

Check for junk or debris in the seat belt connectors (where you snap the belt buckle in) My 95 SL500 had the same problem and when I cleaned it out it went away. I know this sounds crazy, but I was told to do this by a MB tech. Worth a try.

I dont think its the seatbelt clasps as they are not part of the srs.
I have a feeling its the passenger seat occupation sensor mat.
