have kinda the same problem only i think mine is electrical.
i stick the key in and turn it and everything is fine for a second(it like does a half crank?....) and then it ceases to do anything until i take the key out and try again. sometimes it does this like 3-4 times in a row! it doesnt do it all the time but when it does its annoying and embarassing. ive tried alot of different things like sticking the key in and waiting for like 3 seconds to make sure everythings alright(and listen to the little "click"). i've also heard that puching the brake helps too? tried it and it kinda worked....maybe....? taking it out out of park for like a nano-second and then quickly returning the knob to park seems to work. it rele is a good car and i love it to DEATH! i grew up with it and my dad's lease went up adn i wouldn't let him trade it in; i bought it outright. please help?!
hi did you find the solution for this? mine has just started doing this & the other wierd thing that is also happening is that it sometimes has a miss but switch it off start it again a few times & you are fine. please reply thankks

check your fuses. replace em all. doesn't cost much. if that don't help it could be a vaccuum problem. might have to disconnect the battery for 30 mins and see if everything resets.

Hi kweathers welcome to the forum, sorry to hear about your electrical system acting up wierd. Anyway, check & replace bad fuse only no need to replace good ones.
Just want to get more information about current the problem with your car is this happen in the past? did you modify any sound system that related to electrical stuff and PSE problems before? & when was the last time you change your car's battery?
Also when you get a chance pls complete your Profile - Vehicle & Location
I am brand new to this site and forum.
I'm wondering if someone might have some insight on a problem I am having.
I have a 1994 C220 4
I replaced the Mass Air Flow Sensor ( Air flow meter) and
Wireing harness
I'm still having problems with a rough Idle. Also I noticed that the Cruise Control works sometimes....and other times it does not work at all.
The dealer told me it has trouble codes that read that it is running lean.
Another common problems among the W202 vehicles is the Motor Mounts. According to the MB tech's Mercedes Benz never built a beter mount so that is why it has to be checked with in a year or so.
I had mine changed two years ago and today one is failing and the MB tech recomendation is to replace both mounts.
The soonest you feel your car vibrate or a rough idle check your mounts. You will loose some power since the engine is a little lower than normal. The soonest you replace then you will feel the difference in power and torque as well as quiteness.
Hmm, What codes? Running lean can be an issue from several points of failure. Have the O2 sensors been checked? Rough idle can be from several things, do you have an egr valve? I have a 1995 c220 that is being a pain with an egr code that I just started to fix. Age can be a problem for several sensors and this computer does not have the easiest diagnostic path. What is your milage?
it is on the right side of the car whereyou windshield liquid is there is a black pipi on the left it is between this pipe going down 2 clip 1 top 1 down open clips take out.
