as i stated before... this is a thread for problems with solutions. i recommend that you start a thread in the forum with your problem and youll probably get more response.
I know my '97's speed sensor by the rear differential is extremely exposed (told it was normal)...this allows for it to be knocked around and damaged (thus causing the car to stop shifting). Any little bump underneath could potentially damage it.
...And those darn sealed transmissions!!
Unfortunately we have to live with it and be careful over rough terrain.
actually before having this problem, the car slapped and hit a very raugh road, i had to fix all my rims and change my triangle after that. so i think ur absolutely right, anw i fixed the car and the technician told me that the problem may be because of the accident, but now the car drives great, anw thx.
i want more solutions for my c200 on the red and green light because of that the car cant even crank, so i need help
battery low.......charge it up re connect....get in car put ignition on/dont start.....take key out and point at mirror an press button.....lights should go out , if not repeat...dont worry about alarm going off!
do a search in the CClass forum and you should get a nice link on how to do that. I'm still building up the nerve to tackle that one myself.
no probs....disconnect battery leave for 20 mins.....2 small screws at rear of steering column.....will release airbag....disconnect wires an plce face upward on level surface.....remove wheel...an bobs your uncle (english saying)
c230 A/C blows cold center vents W202 c230 A/C blows cold center vents
If you have a W202 or a c230 where your A/C blows warm air out the center vents here is your solution. I live in Phoenix and air conditioning is a necessity!!! I finally had to get it fixed and here is what was wrong with my 1997 c230 mercedes with no ac from center vents: (Hepa interior air cleaner under dash Clogged)
Your car has a hepa type interior air cleaner in an easy to find plastic box just under the dash on the passenger side.
Look under neath your dash on the passenger side and you will find the filter cover (note the sliding plastic locks) that keep the filter in place. Un latch these hooks and pull the filter out. It is probably so full of dust and dirt like mine was. The filter was so filthy it was not allowing any cold air past. Once I hit the filter on the ground about 5 times the filter seemed cleaned. I stuck it back in the cartidge and the air conditioning has been blowing ice cold air condioning from the air vents. If you have this problem this will fix your car.

hv u checked ur water pump? and ur radiator? maybe there's smth stuck in it like some dust from the water... u know u hv to put potable water to ur vehicle... let us know what was the problem when u fix it...
Regards, Philip
I was thinking those 2 items as well... sounds like its just not getting enough water through it and at higher speeds the engine heats up.
Also... possibly a head gasket leak?
