I had to change my battery and i dont know the radio code. I dont really wanna go to the dealership and have them fix it for me, so i was wondering if any of you guys would know the code...i have a '95 C220.[?]
Last time I checked my local dealership they were going to look up my code for free but you'll still have the hastle of having to go there. On the bright side it shouldn't take a service advisor more than 10 min to look up for a 1995 C-Class (my '86 was a different story). Unless of course your radio was replaced by someone other than a dealer, in which case it has to be removed and the S/N checked. That's the only way I'm aware of to get the correct code for the radio.
The only other thing I can suggest is that you look at the documentation for the car. Along with the owners book and the maintenance schedule you also get the manual for the radio which could possibly have the code noted.
like az190 said go to the dealer, it doesnt take that long...I did the same thing and went to the same dealer i bought the car from (which is 74miles away) and was there 20min max...spent 3x as much time driving there than it took to get the code
