I have a 96 C220 with 178000. No problems since I got it at 144000. The only time Ive taken it to the dealership is to pull my radio because the clips were broken and I wanted a new deck. Castrol Syntec 10w40 every 3500!!
My old 95 C280 turned passed 156M, still run solid, beyond theses replacements :Water pump. MAS sensor, alternator, 2 new batteries (thru 8 years), 2 sets of tires .Hope my boy will get another 100M (he is student in college) until he is done with school. Always a little things here & there, but NO MAJORS work on the trans & engines. Oh, head gasket oil keak (a few years back) set me back a grand (mostly labor).
I just got 200.000 km with mine today. My W201 had 335000 when i sold it
