Radiator question

I was recently changing the water pump on my 85 190E and I was unable to find a collant drain plug, and had to undo the collant hoses in order to drain the collant to replace the water pump, does anyone know if the 190E has something built in for draining the collant or do you just undo the hoses to drain it?
Seems like in a car where they thought of everything this one thing is missing. But maybe I just didn't find it.
