TALL DRIVERS IN 190E

Hi I am very close to purchasing a 190E 2.3-16. I will visit the car this weekend. However, I am almost 6'3' tall. Will I fit in this car or will my head hit the roof? Thanks

the driver seat adjusts up and down. to move it down pull on a lever on the front right of the seat and push the seat back. to move it up do the opposite (ie pull the seat forward)

i am a 6 footer. just like what piotr said and you will be just fine. the only thing is that the passengers behind you will have to cross their legs.

Yeah, I have a friend who used to have a 190 and his problem was leg room. People really couldn't sit behind him, he's about 6'5'. Your legs are your biggest problem, not hitting your head. Your 5 seater will be a 4 seater! :)

Re: TALL DRIVERS IN 190E

The 16-valve is a four seater to start with - buckets in back. So his 4 seater will be a 3 seater. I agree with what has already been said, except to add a couple of things - I don't know where you are, but in the US all 16-valves came with power seats, so the manual adjustment sited earlier won't help you. But the seats do still go up and down - just push the switch in the direction you want to go. Also, most 16-valves are sticks (as it should be!). The problem you'll most likely have with your height will be legroom for clutching. I'm 6'0' and it's a little tight for me. Depending on whether you have long legs or not, you may or may not be able to find a comfortable seating position that lets you clutch without hitting your shin on the knee bolster. Work with it before you give up though - if you can find that magic position, it's worth the effort, and then you just lock into the seat memory. Good luck!<br>
