Re: Shift Knobs

i just recently replaced my shifter with a momo one. i have a 2.3-16v and had to cut the knob off because the knob and boot was one piece. i kept the boot and twisted off the knob by itself with a wrench. from there i just cut off the rubber under the leather knob. i needed the upper pipe, which was part of the knob to screw back on the lower part of the shifter. the upper pipe was where i put my momo shftr on. to make it alittle shorter i cut about an inch off the upper pipe. screwed the upper pipe on then put the momo using those 3 little allenkey screws. it looks pretty good because my cars all black inside and only the bottom of my shifter and the cd player is chrome. i'm not too sure if the shifter is the same on your model or not.
good luck!
proxy3-external.ktchnr1.on.home.com
