190E 2.6 auto-whats the 1st year the M-B automatic transmission started in 1st gear instead of 2nd gear?

They all start in first gear if you put your foot to the floor. Otherwise why have a first gear at all?

What about 1st gear without putting your foot to the floor. (like the late 90's and pre 80's M-b's and all non-mercedes cars.
