Yup, like the title says, had to jump my car to start it today cuz, like an idiot, i left the rear dome light on and then didnt use my car for about 3 days. The battery was completely dead, nothing came on or powered up. I let it idle for about 25 minutes then drove it around for 5 minutes or so. At first i noticed that the oil pressure drop slightly every time i shifted gears (btw, i own a 5-spd 16v), but after driving it to work, the oil pressure stays at the "3" position, like it used to before i killed the battery. Now the only problem that i have is that the voltage meter indicates a drop in voltage every time i step on the brakes and at idle stays right below the 12v line. So i have a few questions: what is the normal voltage for a 16v at idle with only the radio on? (I have extra speakers mounted in the front doors and a clarion deck, so I realize these could impact what the volt meter reads) Also, does the voltage drop when I step on the brakes because the brake lights are drawing power? I never noticed the drop in voltage while braking before, so is it showing the drop because my battery isnt fully charged? Thanks in advance for any tips/solutions
