yeha i wanted to know also how wide i could go legally in ME with the width on a 17" rim. I want it wider to look lower and more agressive, but im not sure how wide will be possible.

im running 17x7.7 37 offset in the front with 215 40 tire and
17x8.5 30 offset in the rear with 215 45. works out well and fills in the gap nicely. i still want it lowered tho. hopes this helps. my car 91 190e 2.6

Been talked about alot here... My stint with 17X8 SKL wheels didn't work out. They rubbed, way too much, with 50 and 40 series tires. I get a small amount of rub with my 17x7.5 et 35 wheels on my lowered 16V. The 16x7 ET 40 wheels on my 2.6 worked out the best. I'm running 50 series tires... it handles well, not too harsh of a ride and it fills the wheel arch nicely. Just posted pictures again on one of the below threads... "how big"
