Fuel strainer deemed defective and replaced.

Approaching completion but little things (that are worth much) are being replaced.

The fuel distributor is installed as are all the fuel delivery components except the fuel strainer. The motor runs so smoothly that these photos of the running motor reveal absolutely no blur due to motor shake. The exhaust has no smell at all.

I was shown the car at ground level so I could not do a photo study of the fuel system from underneath. That will come later.

Note the new backing plate in the rear bulkhead and the new throttle cable grommet.

The motor shows a before/after appearance: the brand new parts contrast sharply against the filthy old parts. A thorough steam cleaning and polishing will match old to the new and rubber treatment will bring back the sheen to the rubber parts.

New front floor carpet pieces are installed.

The motor compartment photo here is the last of the warehouse condition photos. Next will follow fully restored, cleaned and polished compartment photos.

It is surprising how smooth the 16 valve can idle compared to the 8 valve M102, which can seem "lumpy" by comparison.

After I received the car, I went to Helms Brother's parts department and bought the "grab bag" of parts.

These are the receipts for that purchase.
