*update*
we found the problem
the fuel cutout relay was worn, because there was no outer sheild over it, which where should be,
and its located behind the battery, so water and other elements just got at it over time,
the mechanic had the car running today, and said he just cleaned it up a bit,
but we are buying a brand new one , because it would kark it any time!

tavioman, have you checked that? ( when you turn the ignition, on to electrical power only*not the startup, you should hear the relay tahts located behind the battery, click in, and then you should hear the fuel pump start up, which is undernearth the car, under that plastic gaurd

but we still have a fuel leak, up around the distributor, which will be a very expensive problem to fix, if we have to buy a new one, any ideas on that?

- its a small fuel leak though
very minor, but could still be an issue

My relay it's in good shape. My problem does not come from there.
If there is a fuel leak around the distro you should check from where it comes. If you're lucky the problem lies in EHA (little black box attached to the fuel distributor). You could find another one at a junkyard. A new one it's pretty expensive. Not to mention the fuel distro....

It could be also just the o-rings between the EHA and distro. Thats very cheap.
