Fan Belt

My Fanbelt is making noises... i was told that it could be dirty . cause its not loose or seomthing such as coolant got on it and it makes a noise you cant get rid of... but anyways anyone know how to get rid of the noise.... the noise its coming right from where the belt tensioner is at... if i spray it with windex or somethin of that sort it goes quiet for a couple min then comes right back.... think it just needs to be lubed.... the tensioner

Look at the tensioner from the side. The bearings maybe worn letting the tensioner set at a bit of an angle causing the belt to be pulled against the lip of the pulley just before the tensioner pulley.
The tensioner pulley with the bearing in it is aprox. $39 from MB. If they quote something around $74 they are probably trying to sell you the pulley and the bracket. I didn't need the bracket to repair mine.
