Milosz is right.
I've noticed it a lot with new cars - most smaller Audis (A3/A4/A6) have really bad
orange peel, but the A8 never does.
I bet if you did a side-by-side comparison between an S-Class and a CLK, the paint on
the S-Class would be absolutely perfect.

Shoulda switched the keys, more like!
Those brakes were amazing.
As with many new performance cars, the discs did have the irritating habit of
rusting overnight (damn winter), but a short run out would get it all off.
Rusty brake discs look so ghetto though - surely they can come up with a solution?

thats true, i work at an audi dealership and i can see the paint difference. you get what you paid for. the A8 costumers also get courtesy cars before any other customers and it usually is a A6 or the new Q7. I cant wait till the R8 comes out in the summer
Agreed, it's across the board - I saw a brand new 7-series BMW last year with orange peel in the paint. IMO if you're paying for a new high-end luxury car you should expect better paintwork than that. It seems they don't care about that sort of thing anymore.
