Was changing my gauge faces over to the nice white ones and i think i did everything to the book but now after putting my instrument cluster back my rev meter doesnt move at all.
i calibrated everything back to original but i cannot get the tacho to move at all. i figure its electrical and am afraid i may have somehow messed up the solenoid behind the needles. Any help?
Did you accidently jack your connections when you were taking them out and putting them back? There is clearance between the needle and the guage face? no rubbing? no rubbing on the hole that would stop it and holt it in place?
well the connections in the back are idiot proofed so i dont think i jacked them. There is clearance and if i turn the amature thing in the back of the gauge the needle turns through the whole range.
I assume the tacho voltage goes in through the connector with the arrow.. i'm thinking of trying to use a multimeter on them when i get back home.
I see ur external temp display is bleeding - since you have the cosole out - would suggest - replace it.
I would suggest you call up your local MB Dealer and find out just
how ludicrously overpriced that little LCD is - second only to the VDO LapTimer from
the 16v cars!
Big bucks - there's a reason most of them remain broken & bleeding...

yes, definitely check the 12V wire. BtW nice assembly. Tool kit looks cool as well!
