its cold as hellz here in south jersey. my car now doesnt start. didnt drive it this past weekend or today, i had a flat and i didnt get around to looking at it all weekend, so i put it off. finally fixed the flat a few hours ago and the car doesnt start. it kept wanting to finally start but it jus keeps on cranking like theres no fuel getting to the engine. battery is fully charged, checked the injectors and everything and still no start. i think the weather has something to do with it. normally when i start it from time to time, when it finally starts it it would literally shake the whole car and it sounds like something inside the engine is loose. i dunno what to think any more. any ideas? its an 87 mb 190e 2.3 with an 85 190e 2.3 engine.

Sounds like you have a bad cold start valve. First thing I would check is the engine temp sensor on top of the engine to make sure its reading the car as cold.
all temp sensors are brand new, tried to fix the klutch fan issue and replaced the sensors. the cold start valve was tested according to the haynes manual and its in working order. it only happened because i didnt use the car this weekend. i have a feeling that allmy issues with this car are related to a common issue. what im thinking is that me using an 85 drive train(engine and trans) on an 87 chasis(ecu ignition system etc) is causing it. i can think of 2 solutions and im trying to figure out which one is quicker and cheaper.

Try this,
Remove the air cleaner assembly.
Check all rubber hoses running along the top of the motor between the valve cover and the air meter. Use hose clamps if necessary to bind loose hoses..
