Seems like you could have had one for the same or a bit more w/o any damage. There's been several on ebay over the past few months in the 5-8K range. Besides the obvious what's the rest of the cars history like?

5K for that - is not worth it ...
u will end up spending another 5k getting it up and runnning !!
he didn't buy it broken if i remember. He got slammed into by a woman not paying attention doing about 40 into his ass end.
Just saw his post on 190rev. In that case 5k seems like a good price... and for the woman not paying attention, she needs a big stiff one bent up inside for doing that to an otherwise mint 16V
Ya haha. I was just messing around to see the funny responses. But ya, I was rear ended by some 17 year old (not that i should talk as I am only 20) and sandwhiched against a suv. I bought the car last week in prestine condition. What a shame, I mean it was a great car and I had it for such a short time. But I will be in the market for another 16v asap because I am hooked.
Last week I bought a 1986 190e 2.3-16 with 100k miles. The car was CLEAN and the interior near immaculate. I drove it for a week and feel in love with it. But today.... i went to pick up my brother from school and while stopped behind a suv at a light, someone rearends me going 40mph and sandwhichs me against the suv . The car was totalled needless to say and I will post pictures of my baby tomorrow. I just needed to vent a little because I am a little pissed at how short of a time I owned this wonderful car. On the bright side, I walked away with just a really sore body and some nice seat belt burns haha. Probably could have been a lot worse.
And i already have dibs on his bumper, so go to hell.
