Cruise Control

Does your cruise control work?

Have you fixed it?

If it was fixed does it still work?

If it was fixed, did you fix it or did you send the parts out to be fixed.

The only thing on my car that was do working when I purchased the car is the cruise control.

Probably your cruise control module is failty, these are very common problems. See www.tempomat.tk.

is your speedo needle bouncy? This might be a problem too - the module does not know what speed to hold on to

Funny, you guys mentioning this.

I got my new CC stalk the other day and I put it in the car. Went on the road and......no cruise control! I drove back and checked the new stalk with a DMM, all good. Pulled out the amplifier and checked the solder joints, they looked good. So, I resoldered them anyway, and still no luck.

As I remember, the only things I disturbed from the CC working before, was the half-broken stalk and the speedometer. I'm sure I've had the transmitter off a few times. I may have accidently swapped it for another transmitter.

Does anyone know if a different transmitter on the back of the speedometer could also cause the cruise not to work?

After checking all the other stuff, I'm gonna check the clutch & brake switches and maybe the wiring from the amp to the other components.

Any ideas?
