So, I am pulling into the drive way with my wife, I put the car in P and all of a sudden the car starts to idleing (sp) really erratic. Usually it will idle at 500 RPM.............today it started reving at 1000RPM and then it would rev up and down from 500 up to 15000 RPM's........................what the hell is going on??

It could be a number of things, it could simply be something clogging an injector. Let it cool down overnight, if it starts the same way, drive on the highway for a couple of mile, that should clear it up. If that doesn't work, it's most likely the idle/speed control valve. You can remove it and try to clean it with carburetor cleaner.
There is also a air flow potentiometer on the front of the air flow meter just behind the fuel pressure regulator, these can often cause irratic idle. I'm not sure of the test procedure off the top of my head but 5v at idle rings a bell. (Maybe somebody could clarify?) I just fitted one on mine this evening to cure the same problem. Probably worth checking the other bits listed above first as these are easier to do.
