the part i recieved from bekkers only has 1 pin.
i can't locate anything like it in the engine bay.

It should have 3 pins and it is color coded.

here's a couple pics of my best guess as to where it goes...
but the rear most plug thing has 4 prongs, not just 1.
anyone know if i just recieved the wrong part, or am i looking in the wrong area on my engine?

Just to understand...are you trying to replace the sensor that operates your temperature gauge? Or. a sensor for your aux. fan or main fan?

i got a check engine light; diagnosed it as code 3: coolant temperature sensor.
that is all that i know, the rest i'm winging. i ordered the part from bekkers, after telling them what error i had.

OK, I see you have the California model that came with the check engine light. It's just a matter of locating the sensor location. Someone on this forum should know.
