okay i think this is causing the driveability issues and red exhaust issue. rite no the car i have is an 87 and the ecu is from an 88 and not an 87 as i originally thought it came from. i have a feeling this is retarding the timing or something. i went to the scrap yard today and was originally going to get the engine harness and it was in pretty good shape, so i started to rip it out. i then noticed that there were extra wires and sensors on the head. will having the wrong ecu7 possible cause problems? i did my research before i went to get an ecu and in general everyone sed that all 2.3s were interchangable.
