The award is for 250,000 kilometers/155,000 miles, now should I put it on the car?? Now I have to keep the car for the next award of 500,000 kilometers/312,000 miles and then the 750,000 kilometers/468,000 and then the 1,000,000 kilometers/625,000 miles and then the 1,000,000 miles award.

It may have been a fluke, but last year I saw one sold for $100 on eBay.
Actually, it is very well made and heavy, so the first thought that came to my mind was "Do I really want to put this on the grill where the bugs, rocks and general road dirt will mess it up". I would ask for around $100 also, if I was going to sell it.
All and all, a nice little program that Mercedes-Benz has.
do you only get those if you continue to get your car serviced at a MB dealer? I would be up for that badge within a year or so, just wondering.
No questions about where your car was serviced and etc., also you do not have to be the original owner, the form does ask how many of the miles you put on the car. You have to take to car to a MB dealer where they will check the miles, maybe the VIN number and sign the form, that is it
What does the back of the badge look like? I have 98k miles now...
The back has two metal studs about 2 inches long, with two rubber washers attached at the base of the badge, two nuts and two nylon rectangle washers/spacers, which are designed to help from damaging the grill (I think).
A word about the two booklets/magazines (Classic Collection 2004 and Classic Collection 2005) that came with the award (I have the Classic Collection 2002 issue also, that I got from a MB dealer that had it with the free sells literature area). These booklets have many many excellent illustrations of scaled MB models that you can purchase, like the 2005 issue has the Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.3-16, Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.0 and the Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.5-16 EVO II., also they have many other MB related iems. A very good read.
